In order to test the effectiveness of active ingredients, DIVA Expertise has been able to develop in vitro multiparametric predictive models capable of mimicking the human biological functioning of adipose tissue. This, in basal conditions or by modeling certain situations: such as inflammation, matrix remodeling linked to inflammation, oxidative stress and stimulating certain mechanisms such as adipocyte differentiation or lipolysis.
DIVA Expertise has miniaturized and multiparametric cellular study models for the screening and mechanistic definition of different active ingredients and molecules as well as tissue models for preclinical evaluation of the finished product.
Among the cell models, we find 2D/3D cultures of human preadipocytes or dermal fibroblasts, 3D capsules of human mature adipocytes DIVA CAPS obtained by encapsulation in a hydrogel as well as co-cultures of 3D mature adipocytes and 2D fibroblasts ( DIVA SKIN CAPS) in order to mimic the dermis/epidermis interaction. These models are miniaturized in 96-well plates and the culture conditions are adaptable to the needs of the research.
The tissue models developed by DIVA are biomimetic models. DIVA Expertise has notably developed a 3-layer skin model DIVA SKIN: Epidermis/Dermis/Hypodermis in order to integrate the biological interactions between the 3 layers at the skin level.
With its predictive models DIVA Expertise studies the functioning of human adipose tissue and tests the effectiveness of different active ingredients for different fields of application: cosmetics, nutraceuticals or pharmaceuticals, with culture parameters adaptable to the study conditions.
